The letters SAT stand for Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is a paper-based standardized test required for application to most colleges
and universities in the US. High SAT scores will increase your chances of securing admission.
Who should take the SAT?
SAT is taken by high school students who wish to pursue higher education in the US. SAT scores also determine a student's eligibility to receive academic scholarships.How the SAT works?
The SAT lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes and tests your critical thinking skills, as well as your ability to analyze and solve problems in math, critical reading, and writing. The 25-minute essay will always be the first section you see, and the 10-minute multiplechoice writing section will always be the last. The other sections can appear in any order.The SAT is graded on a 2400-point scale, with the Math, Critical Reading and Writing sections all worth 200-800 points each.
